He is blaming the “Big Guy” for all the troubles that happened to his life.

One day, while he is lying down to his cell, he heard a voice that caught his attention. It is one of the preacher of The Old Path. He is talking about the “Big Guy”. He listens to the teachings that the Preacher is telling about Him. It is different to all preacher, he attend to in the jail.

Later, he stands to sit with the jailbirds that are listening to the preacher. “Do you have any questions, brothers?” Loiel, the preacher asked while he turns his eyes to look if all listeners understood what he is saying. “I have a question!” a trembling voice from the audience broke the ambiance. It came from Rex. “What is it?” “Is it true that there is God?” “Yes, why did you ask?” “Then, why is He letting us suffered here in prison?” “It is not right to accused God for all your sufferings to your life. Do you know who you are blaming?” “I know Him! He never grants my prayers. He didn’t hear me! ” As he shouts it with despair. “If you really know Him you’ll never say those things! You know to yourself what is the reason you’re here!? You’re saying that He doesn’t listen to you, why, did you listen to Him or you only hear what you want to hear to yourself? ” Rex was amazed of the things Loiel said that put him in complete silence and shame for himself. He knows that the preacher was right.

The next Bible Study, Rex can be seen attending with the other inmates listening to the Word of God. After some times, he move towards Loiel and say… “Bro. Loiel, I want to undergo indoctrination!” “In that point, you heard the Big Guy!” Rex smile in return and whispered “Yes, because I heard Him!” In other words, he was baptized and change his way of living.

The day of persecution arrived. At 12noon, he is about to be executed. “What is your last request before you die?” “I wanted to talk to my assigned worker!” he replied.

11:30am… “Only 15 minutes.” The police ordered. Rex and Loiel sit. “Why do want to speak to me, Bro.Rex?” Tears from his eyes shed. “Are you scared?” “ I am. It’s not that I’m complaining. I’m worthy for this, but if only He will extend my life to served Him I wanted to prove to others and to Him that I change for the better.” he cried. “It’s normal to be afraid, but we shouldn’t be. You have proven to others that you changed for good. To God, He knows. We can serve Him not only in this world.” Rex grins. “I almost forgot that. I wish we will see each other to His promised land.” “I’m also looking forward to it.”

11:45am… “Still frighten?” Loiel asked. “Now, I’m not. Thanks for all. I’m ready to die!” The conversation stopped by the shout of the police officer. “It’s time!” The jailguard put a handcuff to Rex’ hands and proceed to what is about to happened. Loiel followed his look until he was gone to his sight. From no where, he realized the drops of water poured to his face from his eyes. He sighs.

12noon… Loiel walk off the gate of the Jail and glance to the big wall that surrounds the detainees. An arms stretch over on his shoulder, when he turned his head around. “I heard that our brother is about to die today and what were his last words to you?” “He’s ready to die!” Philip, his co-worker stares to him with a questioning look. “Let’s go, we have to go and preach to another jail. I believe that there will be another Rex there.” “What comes to your mind to think that?” “Nothing. Its just I know!” As they step away their feet from the place, they left with hope in their heart.

Seeing the Truth

By: mattrixia

Who can see the truth?
Is it the one who can see or the one that can’t?
The one that have eyes or the one that doesn’t?
Is it the one who is older or is it the young?

It was fifteen long years
That I’ve been blind
Not seeing how deadly this world
I am living in.

The world that surrounds me
The life that exist without worth at all
And here the strong wins and the weaklings die.
The mind is the battlefield of these two forces.

The truth and the lies
Where can be found?
Can everyone see it?
Can anyone have it?

The truth so precious
That not anyone can have.
The lies that’s so cheap
That can be found to everyone.

The truth is as it is
And the lies pretend to be the truth.
The truth is exposed
And the lies covered.

After seven years of knowing the answer
On how can I see it?
We cannot see the truth
If our eyes are closed
If we want to see it
It should be opened.

Which eyes are we talking about then?
How about those blind from the womb of their mother?
It is the eyes that can be found to
A Christian, to a heart of a believer.
